New layout and rotation! Yay! And yes, it’s still me (Yumi), I’ve just decided to use my real name from now on. Just felt I’d mention that so no one gets confused xD I’ve also updated the past rotations masterlist and organized the site a bit better. And I’ve decided that the primary updating schedule will be monthly. I’m likely to update twice a month every now and then, but it will generally be once a month from now on. And as usual, thank you so much for the comments, guys! You’re all awesome xD!! I hope you all enjoy the rotation! ♥ ♥ ♥
Supreme Team - Respect My Money (Dirty Ver.)
Genre: Hip-Hop / Rap / Club Banger
Language: Korean / English
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Opinion: Why the hell I didn’t check Supreme Team out sooner is beyond me, but I love them so much already. This song is fucking sick. It’s a real hype-up song, what with the intense beat and the hook. I swear, every time they start going “deurimireo da busyeo” I have to turn my volume up and jam like hell. It just pumps me up so much, ha. This song is nothing but straight-up club banging hip-hop and that is exactly why I love it so much. Highly recommended!

Danson Tang - I’m Back (feat. f(x) Amber)
Genre: Pop / Dance / Hip-Hop
Language: Mandarin / English / Korean
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Opinion: Yeah, you read right, there are three languages in this one. Amber raps in English and Korean, ha. Yay for multi-lingualness! Anyway, this is Danson’s new song and I just lasjfls love it so much. It shows off a new, dancier side of Danson which I really love since I can’t really get into his ballads. The chorus is really catchy and the beat is awesome, Danson’s voice is hot, and I think Amber’s rap is pretty badass. I’ve had this one on repeat for a while and it’s going to stay there.
Liv Kristine - Fake a Smile
Genre: Pop / Upbeat Ballad
Language: English
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Opinion: In contrast to Liv Kristine’s work in metal bands such as Leaves’ Eyes and Theatre of Tragedy, her solo stuff is much more on the mellow pop side, much to my surprise. This song in particular is my favorite of hers, though. It’s a kind of midtempo ballad with some rather sad lyrics about being lost in the world and not knowing where your life is going. Very nice, laid-back pop song with a bit of a gothic rock twist and, of course, gorgeous vocals.
Narsha - 삐리빠빠 (Bbiri Bba Bba)
Genre: Techno / Pop / Dance
Language: Korean / English
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Opinion: This song is crazy addicting likewhoa. One listen and it’s stuck in your head forever @_@ I’ve listened to this song 100+ so far, not even kidding. It’s just ajffsdf it eats your brain with its catchiness. That said, it really isn’t much different from your typical Kpop songs. Electronic pop flavor, catchy repetitive hook, etc. But what I really love about this song are its lyrics and music video. Words can’t describe how much I love those. Narsha’s vocals are especially lovely and sort of dreamy during the choruses, giving this song a bit of a laid-back feel at times, which I really like. Highly recommended!
Namie Amuro - Get Myself Back
Genre: Pop / R&B / Ballad
Language: Japanese
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Opinion: Namie’s ballads usually take some time to grow on me, but this one just stuck with me from the first listen. Mostly because it’s an R&B ballad and I’ve got such a thing for those. It’s very similar in style to her earlier work, which is another thing I love about it since I’ve been missing that sound a lot lately. It’s not particularly catchy or amazing, by any means, but it’s a nice, simple song that I can have on repeat for hours and not get tired of.
Theatre of Tragedy - Mïre
Genre: Gothic Metal / Doom Metal / Ballad
Language: Early Modern English
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Opinion: This song is completely gorgeous. It’s purely instrumental for the first minute and a half, consisting primarily of an organ until the guitars and the bass section come in ever so melodically, then Liv Kristine’s angelic voice chimes in and it all comes together so well. As usual, I could do without the death growls but for the most part they don’t bother me much. I’m also intrigued by the lyrics and how they made use of Early Modern English. Makes it so much more haunting and beautiful.
